Dear Michael Bay,
"I wasn't feeling the love triangle at all, either. It just seems like Kate Beckinsale's character would hump whoever wasn't dead at the time, and as a result my heartstrings remained untugged."

Dear Michael Bay,
"what were you thinking in the climax where Smith and Lawrence drive the bad guy's Hummer through a shanty town, destroying every building in their way? People have to live there, and they just drive through those houses. By the time this scene arrives we've already seen bodies flying everywhere, an unbelievable number of shots fired all during the film, and really graphic depictions of people shot to death with blood everywhere."

Dear Michael Bay,
"Step the #$%$@ away from Optimus Prime, mother$@%#er."

Dear Michael Bay, or To Whom It May Concern:
"At different moments in your film, whether intentionally funny or not, I laughed several times. I should mention here that I often use laughter as a defense mechanism."

Mr.Bay,
Concerning 'The Island',you were so close and yet so
far. You could still recut
this movie and make it a
decent SciFi. Story,story,
story! Just a 20 minute
set up isn't sufficient for
the human heart,even male,
video game hearts want more
story in a movie where they
don't have the trigger for
control. Cut at least 20-25%
of the action& transform it to
story. Even at this point you could open up the house scene with the man and woman exploring(slowly the real world and each other--slowly &
with some wit & some touching
eroticism). Cut the special
effect at least 2/5ths---that's 3 major effects per scene not 5 to 8. Also though
this film was obviously aimed
at video game users, you must
slow this film down by at least 20-25%.

I think it's possible with some cash
incentives and the promise of no dangerous or
strenuous action stuff both
lead actors might not mind
coming back in to reshoot
the house scenes that have
them both evolving into 'human' beings at a more
human pace. Then go back to
your slightly slower and slightly less overcrowded effects action which people
(even male vid.watchers) could
really enjoy. Mr Bay I'm not
a SF movie person, I just went
to see how Scarlett J. could
handle it, but there is one
SF I love & never tire of and
that is 'Bladerunner'. Strong
story with strong music to punctuate it and the action
becomes the real punctuation
that's been threatening & im-
plied in every part of the
story. When the action comes
it has been hanging like an
impending storm or threat until we are almost stressed
out just waiting for it to
explode. Please reshoot this
and redeem you and your movie.
