just saw a commercial for UFJ, one of Japan's "Big Four" banks, advertising their new 24 hour ATM machines. What will they think of next!

Isn't it amazing that they had internet banking in Japan before they had 24 hour ATM?
It's too bad though, the closed at the same time as he bank ATM is a staple rant when I feel negative toward Japan... now I have to think of something else to illustrate why the US is so much better. ;-)

this morning I had 200 yen in my pocket and was craving a McDonald's breakfast. To my amazement the UFJ ATM was open at 7:30 this morning so I wandered in to take out a couple thousand. but surprise! the 24 hour ATM service is only for UFJ members and me and my Citi bank card were out one greesy McDonald's breakfast this morning... :-(
